With today's update you have the possibility to customize your dashboard to your needs.
In addition to the "old boxes", there are now also boxes for the last 24 hours, the current and past month and even one that shows you the rewards since the last payout.
In addition, the new system now also shows the percentage change from the comparison period before.
In some boxes you will also find a prediction function - however, this is still in the testing phase and will be optimized in the next few days.
Do you have an idea for more boxes? Drop it in #suggestions-website
In the background we are still working hard to release our mobile app. It turns out that it's not that easy to publish a crypto-related app in the AppStores. The integration of the in-app-purchase causes us many hurdles and without it we are not allowed to publish the app.
If the process takes longer, we will restart our internal tests for Android users without limitation.
After a few weeks of internal testing we just released the Realtime Hotspot Status Check today.
The new system tries to establish a connection to your hotspot using the helium P2P-network and performs several Ping-Checks.
We are using the same check in our new Hotspot Guard 2.0 which checks the connectivity of your hotspot in regular intervals and sends you a notification whenever a hotspot ist offline.
During our internal tests the system detected offline hotspots within only 5 minutes. Changes of your Listen Addresses/ Relay Status have been detected within 30-120 minutes.
However in some cases we can't establish a connection to some hotspots for an unknown period of time. We are using multiple (=many!!) servers to improve our chances finding a valid conection.
You can enable Hotspot Guard 2.0 in your Account.
We have reached another milestone: HeliumTracker.io will be able to track the online and relayed status of your hotspots via the P2P network.
This means that in the future we will have much more reliable and faster information about your hotspot vitals.
To accomplish this task we have installed a P2P cluster in the cloud. We can enlarge or reduce this cluster as needed and thus adapt it to the necessary workload.
Today we start the internal tests of Hotspot Guard V2 and let the system query peerbook information of all 500k+ hotspots.
If the tests go well, Hotspot Guard V2 will be able to take care of your hotspots soon.
This week, in addition to the numerous updates to the mobile app, we mainly took care of our server setup.
In order to avoid system failures in the future, we installed a server monitoring system that monitors all servers and critical processes such as the blockchain import.
As soon as the system detects any abnormalities, we are immediately informed and can thus prevent failures.
In case of a failure, the system switches to alarm mode and sends a push notification to our admin every 30 seconds. The alarm bypasses the do not disturb function of the iPhone and contains a rather exhausting sound - this should get the admin out of his deepest sleep!
After our monitoring system was installed, we were surprised to find that our blockchain server is currently using 97.2% of its 3.7TB disk capacity. In order to avoid any downtime, we installed a new blockchain server with 7.9TB of NVMe storage. This server is now synchronized and will take over the import of the blockchain data starting today.
From today you can configure in your account the channels you want to be notified about certain activities. For most options you can choose between Email, Desktop, Mobile App and Telegram.
The testing phase of our mobile app is going very well. Thanks to your feedback and @pannemann's tireless efforts we are getting closer to the release of 1.0. Besides minor bugfixes we are still in the process of integrating in-app-purchase. Most of the other wishes and suggestions for improvement will be saved for the next versions.
Thank you for your great participation in our mobile app test flight. We are very happy about the collected feedback and could already fix the first bugs in the app.
